Who We Are
Perhaps it is more appropriate to describe what we are not. We are not businessmen, or corporate executives, or managers. We are not wealthy, or established, or members of the high inner circle of society. We are not fueled by personal desire and we do not operate by some hidden agenda.
But this does not mean that we aren’t capable. We are youth, the ordinary teenagers that you see on a daily basis. We go to school, go to work, and somewhere along the line decided that there was something more; that there existed this capacity for something greater. And we draw our inspiration from this; from the everyday hero, the average person making a world of a difference.
What We Do
Our goal to is generate funds in support of clean water and sanitation projects in rural Kenya, where the struggle for water, life’s most fundamental necessity, is a commonality. We hope to accomplish this through a variety of activities, including T-shirt sales, benefit concerts and the support through presentations of socially conscious teenagers everywhere.
Our purpose is the empowerment of youth. The youth of today are the most powerful, yet least utilized generation to exist to date. Each individual possesses this awesome capacity for change that often lies stagnant, with no outlet available to channel its energy. Drop by Drop hopes to serve as the initial spark, initiating the potential of youth so that it may resonate around the world. After all, the greatest of all changes comes bit by bit, person by person, drop by drop.
Why We’re Here
A fundamental aspect of empowerment is the celebration of success. We recognize the amazing talent and skill consistently exhibited by the deviantART community. It is our honour to work with such artists, showcasing their creative expression while spreading our message of change. We are humbled by the opportunity to form such a relationship with deviantART, as we acknowledge that our achievement comes only through the support of those in the community.
Personal Quote: "If an idea is not at once absurd, then it has no potential."
